2009 Seller Conference

July 10-13, Seattle Airport Marriott

The Sellers' Conference for Online Entrepreneurs 20009 (SCOE) is the independent Conference for entrepreneurs who utilize Amazon.com as a sales channel.  No matter what type of inventory you list or how long you've been selling online, SCOE has something to offer you to help you improve and grow your business.

This year, we'll be focusing on how to think creatively to thrive and succeed in challenging economic times.  If you are a media seller, we'll help you navigate the often tricky path to broadening your product offerings, showing you the way to  "think outside the books."  If you already offer non-media, we'll be inviting inventory-type specific specialists from Amazon to the Conference so that you can get some of your questions answered in person.

Although the normal Conference attendee fee is $325 per person, if you click on http://scoe.biz/REFERRAL.html between now and June 15th, you can attend for the reduced fee of $250 per attendee.  We know that you will find great value in this conference, and will want to return again in upcoming years.

Looking forward to seeing you at the conference!

Product Ads on Amazon Launches Yahoo Store Sync

For all Product Ads sellers that also have a Yahoo! Store, we have released new ways for you to integrate your Yahoo! Store to your account.  You can now either sync your Yahoo! Store or upload your catalog XML file through Seller Central.

Existing Catalog Yahoo! Store Sync

The existing Yahoo! Store catalog option is recommended for most merchants and should only take a few minutes to complete.  Setting up your Product Ads account to sync with your Yahoo! Store means that Amazon will automatically retrieve your product catalog data on a regular basis keeping your product information up to date on the Amazon site at all times without you having to even think about it.

Sync Your Yahoo! Store

Provide us with your catalog.xml URL in Seller Central

If you’d prefer to manually uploading your catalog, you can use the option to “Upload your Yahoo! Store catalog.xml” through Seller Central. This is a one-time upload and is similar to uploading a txt file as you may have previously done.  If your product information changes you will have to manually upload a new catalog.xml file through Seller Central for your Product Ads account to be updated on site.

Upload Yahoo! Store Catalog.xml

Enhanced attributes

To optimize your Product Ads performance, we recommend that sellers add three custom fields to your Yahoo! Store catalog.xml file.  These changes will improve the categorization of your products on Amazon. The three fields we recommend adding are:

  • product-ads-exclude
  • product-ads-category
  • product-ads-description

For specific instructions on how to create custom fields in your Yahoo! Store catalog, consult Yahoo’s Help section.

Once these custom fields have been added to your catalog, simply sync your store or upload your catalog.xml URL in Seller Central.

To learn more about how to upload product information from your Yahoo! Store to your Products Ads account, register to attend our free webinar on Wednesday, May 27, 2009 from 10:00 AM - 10:45 AM PDT.
