Correction: Product Ads Listings in Toys and Games Reinstated

If you are a Product Ads seller that lists Toy products, you may have recently received an e-mail entitled "Your Amazon.com Toys & Games Selling Account" indicating your Amazon.com listings were cancelled.  These listings were cancelled in error.  We are currently restoring all Product Ads listings in the Toys category which were erroneously cancelled and expect this process to be completed today.

We apologize for this error and any inconvenience this has caused.   Thank you for your patience.

Dealing with negative feedback

Holly When you sell at Amazon.com, you should work with buyers to resolve any differences. Communication is usually the key--simply explaining a delay or reassuring a buyer puts most issues to rest. But sometimes an order results in the seller receiving negative feedback from the buyer.

If you receive a feedback comment that you are not happy with, we encourage you to contact your buyer, and work with them to resolve any order issues. Your buyer could then remove the feedback if they feel it would be appropriate.

If the buyer has indicated that they're willing to remove the feedback, here are simple instructions to give them. They are also available on our buyer Help page, Leaving Feedback.

  1. Go to http://www.amazon.com/your-account
  2. Under "Personalization," in the "Community" column, click "Seller Feedback Submitted By You."
  3. A list of all of the feedback left by you will display. Click the "Remove" link next to the feedback would like to remove.
(If there is no "Remove" option next to a comment, this means the 60-day removal period has expired.)

Amazon will remove feedback only in the following cases:

  • The feedback includes obscene language.
  • The feedback includes personally identifiable information.
  • The entire feedback comment is a product review.
  • The entire feedback comment is regarding fulfillment or customer service for an order fulfilled by Amazon.
When you receive negative feedback, put it in perspective. A 0-2% negative feedback rate is great! If your negative feedback rate is greater than 5%, you may want to review your business practices. Remember that you can do a lot to avoid receiving negative feedback by providing great customer service!

New Premium Shipping Options for Books, Music, Video, and DVD Listing

Snowflakes_75._V25378374_ We are pleased to announce new expedited shipping options for Amazon Marketplace Books, Music, Videos, and DVDs (BMVD). These new options will allow you to provide higher levels of shipping services for those customers who want premium expedited delivery.

The new shipping options are Two Day Domestic, One Day Domestic, and Expedited International. The rates for these new options can be found on the Shipping Rates and Settings page in Seller Help.

You can add any of the new shipping options on an item-by-item basis when listing single BMVD items. If you use the bulk listing tools you can add the new shipping options on an item-by-item basis by including them in the expedited-shipping field for individual items in your file. See all shipping options on the Data Definitions tab of the latest version of the file.

To add any of the new shipping options to an existing listing, use the bulk listing tools, or select the shipping options on the Manage Inventory page for that listing.

You can also edit your store default shipping settings to include the new shipping options for all newly created listings going forward.

It’s Official. The Holidays are Here.

The holiday shopping season has already begun!  Today, driving downtown I noticed that a well known high end store already has lights hung up in the shape of their various signature logos.  On TV, commercials show children compiling their wish lists.  Even though it seems a little too early for me, I’m going to take these as clear signs that the holidays have arrived.

High end retailers with large window displays and retailers with budget for tv spots shouldn’t be the only ones getting in early to promote their products to holiday shoppers.   Now is the time to include your entire catalog in your product uploads.  With the increased shoppers on Amazon.com you don’t want to miss out on any demand.  Selection is key. If you don’t upload the product in your feed how will the shopper know they can buy the item from you?

We’ve created a list of Holiday Season Best Practices in the Help section of Seller Central.  Take a look and see how it applies to your business.

If you’d rather get a walk-through of how to implement these Best Practices, view last month’s webinar.  It will be 45 minutes well spent.
